On July 21, 1954, a baby boy was born to Mr. Ernest E. O'Quin and Mrs. China B. Oliver whom they named Ernest Charles O'Quinn. He was born in Port Gibson, Mississippi, where he spent the first 14 years of his life. His family then relocated to Brazoria, Texas in 1968. Ernest was a free-spirited, hardworking man, having retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 14 years of service. He then retired from Wal-Mart in Lake Jackson, TX in 2018 after 15 years of dedicated service. Ernest was a huge fan of anything sports. He was extremely passionate about giving his free time to the children of the community as a coach. Ernest graduated from the Commonwealth College of Funeral Services in 1998 graduating with a degree in Funeral Service and Directing. Ernest passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 in Angleton, TX. Ernest loved serving families with compassion and empathy. He would always look to put a smile on everyone's face. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Chandra Fields; two grandchildren T'Ana & Na'Sir Glasper, one brother Thomas O'Quin (Sherri), niece Jaun'uelle and her two children; nephew Sean'Thomas (Katlyn). His special partner in life, Ava Mandrell and her children, Jennifer French, Ann Smith (Josh), and Chris Bahr; grandchildren, Kaleb Smith Lucas and Alyssa Smith; Special children, Nishona King and Alphonse Law, one aunt Alma Lou Oliver and a host of other relatives and friends.
