Alma Louise Minor was born in Port Gibson, Mississippi on February 9, 1937 to the late Frank Minor and Katie Bell Smith. Alma was rasied by her grandmother Julia B, Smith. In her ealry years she and her family relocated to Brazoria, TX in 1957. Here she met the love of her life Frank Oliver Jr. They were united in holy matrimony and to that union six children were born. Alma worked in many occupations including owning several businesses of her own. Alma was rasied as a child of God and accepted Christ at an early age. She had courage and determination to push through any storm of poverty, racsim, and hardship.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Oliver Jr.; grandmother Julia B. Smith; daughter Patricia Saddler; grand-daughters Sharnetia Minor and Tarneka Walker; brother Thomas Don Caldwell; uncles Sylvester Smith and Roosevelt Smith; aunt Martha Voss; and three great-grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish the memories her daughters Juliette Williams (Austin), Doris Oliver, Mary Goff (George) and Alma Bess (Reginald); son Frankie Oliver; sister Vivian Bank; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; god-daughter Francis Fields; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
