Andrea Moore Obituary

On Monday, July 16, 1956, a beautiful baby girl was born to Ollie & Cleora Moore whom they named Andrea Michelle Moore.  She was the first child born to this union but had an older brother who looked out for his baby sister. Andrea grew up in Van Vleck and Bay City Texas.  She went to Elementary and part of Jr. High in the Van Vleck School District.  She later transferred to Bay City Jr High in the 8th grade and continued to Bay City High School where she graduated in 1974. She continued her education at the Wharton County Jr College for 2 years. Andrea was dedicated and a hard worker.  She was employed by the Matagorda Hotel & Conference Center/Holiday Inn, she was also employed with the Stanleys Stores Inc.

At an early age Andrea was baptized and confess her faith in Christ and united with Enterprise Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor A.H. Pointer.  Later, under the leadership of Pastor G.W. Gilbert. Andrea was also the choir President for a few years.  Andrea loved to sing which she inherited from her mother.  Andrea had a unique operatic voice. In June 1978, Andrea entered into holy matrimony with Raymond Green and to this union a baby son was born. Andrea departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 am. at Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Andrea leaves to cherish loving memories to her mother, Cleora D. Boone of Bay City, Texas; son, Brian Green (Rosalind) of Texas City, Texas; daughter Candance Moore of Dallas, Texas; daughter in law, Aneshia Moore of Houston, Texas; 3 granddaughters, Brittany Meier, Taylor Moore & Ryane Bradford; 7 grandsons, Savon Moore, Cedric Moore Jr., David Ward, Lawerence Ward, Cameron Ward, Darrin Ward & Montreal Bradford; 1 great granddaughter, Hailo Lastovica; 4 brothers, Ricky Austin (Shelia) of Lake Jackson, Texas, Nathaniel Moore (Lisa) of Bay City, Texas, Gregory Moore of Houston, Texas and Darnell Boone of Austin, Texas; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Moore of Bay City, Texas and Alicia Moore of Knoxville, Tennessee. Stepmother, Merlene Moore of Bay City, Texas and Stepbrother, Ephram Clark. Aunt Lois Hill of Vallejo, California. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Andrea was preceded in glory by her dad, Ollie Moore Jr.; her son, Cedric Moore Sr., her brother Ollie Moore III and her grandparents.
