Chad Anthony Edwards, Sr. (affectionately called “Big Boi", 44 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 13, 1977 in Killeen, Texas to Woodrow Edwards and Wanda (Jackson) Edwards. He accepted Christ as his lord and Savior in his mid-twenties. He gained his education from the Houston Independent School District and became the proud owner and operator of C.A. Edwards Trucking, LLC. He loved being a truck driver and businessman. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest with simple pleasures and hobbies consisting of playing cards, fishing, fine dining, traveling, and comedy shows. He had an infectious spirit that was warm and inviting. His jovial personality made him easy to approach. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cordus Jackson, Sr. and Leara (Bowser) Jackson and his father, Woodrow Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Wanda (Jackson) Edwards, His loving wife, Charnita Pradia-Edwards, One sister, Pamela Poole (Millard), five Children, Chad Anthony Edwards Jr. “CJ”, Devin, Dejon, Z’niya, Johnathon, two nieces, Eboni (misty) and Crystal, one nephew Michael, two great-nieces, Alexis and Jayla, four great-nephews, Brandon, Marcus, Christian and Braylon. He also leaves to mourn two great-great nieces, one great-great nephew; uncles Alfred (Marlene), Charles (Shirley); aunts Evelyn, Caroline (Sammy), and Rosemary (Simuel).
