Westley Fitzgerald Wallace

Our beloved nephew, cousin and friend, Westley Wallace’s spark suddenly went out on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Born in Houston, Texas on June 27, 1979,  Westley Fitzgerald Wallace became the son of the stern and loving father, Willie F. “Willie B” Wallace and his ebullient and ever loving mother, Barbara Jean Rodgers Wallace and baby brother to the very talkative William Frederick Wallace.  Westley is preceded in death by his loving parents and wonderful big brother but is survived by his many aunts, uncles and a huge amount of cousins.

Westley was a very social individual who was quite popular among his peers. He always made friends easily and quickly became known for his infectious smile, adventurous spirit, fun attitude and big laughter with his family and friends. For many years, Westley enjoyed family time where he would hang out playing board games, cards and dominoes. Westley loved to eat!  Among his favorite foods were pizza, hot pockets and Mrs. Gaston’s cakes, (particularly lemon and Sock It To Me and still THE BEST pound cakes you’ll ever put in your mouth because they’re made with love) and more pizza! He also loved music and played the saxophone in high school band and was huge math nerd who enjoyed solving equations. Westley’s other passions were playing video games with friends and watching sports.

Upon graduation fromWillowridge High School, he attended Southern University in Lousiana and worked in and around Houston for various companies.

Westley was truly loved since the day he opened his big brown eyes and his many family members and friends will continue to carry the warmth of his smile in their hearts and memories.

A memorial service will be held at Briarchase Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11am. We welcome everyone whose lives were touched by Westley to attend and share their own personal memories or stories as celebrate his spirited life.
